The World Series of Poker Europe is going to London for the first time. September will bring the WSOP for the first time to the British Isle. This will be the first time the English players who are home bound will get the opportunity to play in the WSOP Europe.The excitement and planning are evident in the poker world and across Europe. Player anticipation builds as the summer overcomes the midway mark, and the WSOP main event in Las Vegas builds to the final table.

It is not the first time England is getting a major Poker Tournament. The World Poker Tour’s event “Poker in the Park”, at Leicester Square, drew many curious and poker fans. This gave the poker for entertainment players the opportunity join in mini tournaments, and to meet and greet the celebrity pros. This included WPT board members like Steve Lipscomb, and well-known professional Mimi Rogers. The city of London is often referred to as Europe’s premier poker destination.
